Well, soon after I posted that, AMD released their newest version of the Catalyst Control Center (Catalyst version 14.4, Driver Packaging Version 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C). When I updated to this version of CCC, and attempted to re-enable \u201cTurn off the display\u201d under Power Options, this time it would sleep without any BSODs.
