I\u2019ve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathanhunstad.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/two-graphs\/\" target=\"_blank\">written about it before<\/a>, and the trends are pretty much the same as previous studies. Two graphs jump out at me. The first is the overall effective tax rate:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathanhunstad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/TaxRate.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"TaxRate\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nathanhunstad.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/TaxRate_thumb.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"TaxRate\" width=\"562\" height=\"316\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It peaked in 1994, and since 2000, has stayed remarkably stable. It\u2019s hard to argue that government is taxing people more and more.<\/p>\n<p>The next is the updated tax incidence graph.
